Mary Shelley Collection

A limited edition of five numbered tables — MS001 to MS005 — created from a single remarkable oak with a story of its own. Four of the five numbered commissions remain available; each piece is supplied with a signed certificate of provenance detailing the history of the Shobrooke oak and the chain of ownership, and is shaped to honour the timber's provenance and destined to become a family heirloom. Mary Shelley commissions start at £7,000.

Side Tables

Side Tables

Bespoke in any British timber

Diminutive in scale but never in intent. Each side table is shaped from a considered offcut or hand-selected billet of British hardwood, and given a base that carries the character of the piece. Perfect beside a favourite chair, at the end of a hallway, or as a bedside companion. Side tables start from £300.

The Commission Process

Commission Process

Every commission is a shared journey. Here is how we move from first conversation to a finished heirloom, with care, transparency and plenty of time for your questions along the way.

  1. Get in touch

    fill in the commission form or give me a call. Tell me what you are dreaming of, the space it will live in, and the timber that draws you.

  2. Let's talk it through

    I will arrange a phone or video call so we can discuss your ideas in detail, answer your questions, and begin shaping the direction together.

  3. A visual guide

    I will render a drawing of your request as a guide, so you can see the piece begin to come to life before we commit.

  4. Locking in the details

    we will work together to choose the exact piece of wood and the style of base or legs that feels right for your home, and we will also discuss whether you would like delivery or to collect your table in person.

  5. Your personal quote

    I will provide a clear quote based on the design, timber, and work involved.

  6. Contract and deposit

    I will send across a contract accepting the work, and, as a small business, I will ask for a 50% deposit by bank transfer to help cover the cost of materials.

  7. The crafting begins

    once the deposit is received and everything is agreed, I will begin crafting your table. Most pieces take between 6 and 10 weeks depending on the work required, and I will give you a closer timeframe once the details are understood.

  8. Completion and delivery or collection

    when your table is finished, the balance is payable prior to exchange. I will deliver UK-wide, or we can arrange a convenient time for you to collect your table in person.
